DR REENA KOTECHA

SPECIALIST TRAINER

Dr. Reena Kotecha studied Medicine and undertook a research degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health at Imperial College London before beginning her career as a hospital doctor in the UK’s National Health Service. She is trained in the therapeutic use of mindfulness meditation through the British Mindfulness Institute and is a certified teacher of Search Inside Yourself, a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence programme developed at the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute in the USA.

Reena works at the intersection of medicine, neuroscience, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, leadership and organisational wellbeing. She is Programme Lead for two Harvard Medical School Executive Education programmes: Building a Life of Wellness: The Science of Fostering Happiness and Health Span and The Science of Leadership: The Brain, Resilience, and Mindfulness.

Reena also serves on the LifeSpeak AI-to-Behavior Science Advisory Board and holds a certification in AI in Health Care: From Strategies to Implementation through Harvard Medical School Executive Education.

Reena is the founder of Mindful Medics: Healthcare Starts with Self-Care, a workplace wellbeing programme for clinical and non-clinical healthcare staff. Her work supports individuals, teams and organisations to reduce burnout risk, strengthen resilience, enhance emotional intelligence and improve sustainable performance.
